Gov't Orders Closure Of Kenya-Ethiopia Border As Insecurity Worsens

The government has ordered the closure of the Kenya-Ethiopia border as it moves to check runaway insecurity in Northern Kenya. Sources tell K24 that the decision was arrived at during a cabinet meeting held at State house Nairobi on Thursday, where the spiraling insecurity in the country featured prominently. This as the national assembly suspended its proceedings to discuss the wave of violence in Northern Kenya, where tension remains high with several houses and vehicles having been torched as inter-clan clashes escalate in the restive Marsabit county.
